I met Vicki at ABC Brisbane in the early 90s, when I joined to produce the breakfast show. Vicki was a kind and generous colleague, who helped me find my feet and settle in to the station and the town. Vicki was a great radio talent, a fine judge of a story, and an exceptional interviewer. She was driven by her deep humanity, her love of community, and her love of people. She was a true Queenslander, and a devoted fan of the city in which she lived. Vicki traveled the world, and shared her adventures with her many friends, inspiring many of them to their own adventures. I was truly blessed to have Vicki as a friend. She was one of the finest people I’ve ever met. I will miss her every day.

Dear Vicki, I will miss the excitement in your voice when you shared your experiences travelling around the world. You set your mind to something and did it. I learnt a lot from that, being intentional. May you rest in peace.

What a lovely service to honour Vicki and the beautiful life she lived. It was a true reflection of her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit.

Vicki had a way of making people feel welcome and valued. Her strength, grace, and quiet compassion left a lasting imprint on all of us. The memories shared today remind us how deeply she was loved and how much she will be missed.

Though she is no longer physically with us, her influence and the love she gave so freely will remain in our hearts always.

      Rest peacefully, Vicki.

I met Vicki in Darwin, doing some work together for Power Water Corporation. Since that time, I have followed her travel adventures and wild stories. She definitely made a colourful life, rich with arts and culture, that she shared generously with us all. It is special to have known her. Love, condolences and many enduring happy memories to all her family and friends.

A beautiful service to honour Vicki’s vivacious personality. I’ve known her 20-plus years, meeting in Brisbane and then on courses in the Maldives. She loved her family, travel, dance, and art. I have many wonderful memories of times shared with a glass of wine, dance and fun. Her smile lit a room, and her joy of life flowed effortlessly. Fly high, beautiful Vicki.

I will treasure memories shared ✨️
Vicki’s humility and unconditional acceptance set an example for me as I navigate life.

A chance encounter on Mount Kilimanjaro in 2005, brought me someone that would change the way I viewed live and a sense of gratitude for sharing and capturing moments that will last me a lifetime.

    Thank you Vicki ❤️

What a very fitting tribute to a beautiful soul. Anyone lucky enough to be touched by Vicki understands that once you are her friend it was for life. Vicki I will most certainly miss your adventures as I enjoyed following you around the world and watching your adventures.
