Dear Brett, Debbie, David, Matthew, and all the family,

The world is a better place because of the love, kindness, and compassion that Bev shared so generously throughout her life. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome, and her warmth and generosity touched not only her family but also the many friends whose lives she enriched.

May the sadness you feel today be gently eased by the knowledge of what an extraordinary mother, grandmother, and role model Bev was. May the wonderful memories of her love, wisdom, and unwavering care bring you comfort in the days ahead and remind you that her legacy will live on through each of you.

Our thoughts are with you all during this difficult time, and we send our love and deepest sympathy.

    With love,

Peter, Marie, Ellie, Maggie, and Olivia

I’ve been very fortunate to have known you for 15.5yrs.

On meeting Brett I knew you were a beautiful, caring loving soul with a touch of spicy fun in you.
Its been so lovely to have you at all of our gatherings and parties at home over the years.
We had heaps of wonderful times with you,Pete, Bill and Lorraine at apalm Lakes.

The dances we had at the footy clubs were awesome, your best foot forward at the Ganggham Style dance, last one you and i danced to was Flowers.
When my dear Mum passed away you said to me ‘I will be your Mum now’.
This was very special to me
Thanx Mum for your love and fun xx

    To the Swalwell family,

I am so saddened that I can’t be there today to celebrate Nan Bev’s life and to say goodbye in person.

Nan was a wonderful lady who always treated me just like one of her own grandchildren. She taught me that family isn’t defined by blood, but by the love, kindness, and care we show one another. That is a lesson I have carried with me throughout my life.

I have so many happy memories of the time I spent with Nan and Pop. We shared countless adventures together, but one memory that has always stayed with me was when Nan came to visit us in Mount Isa. We went to the fair, and I desperately wanted to go on the Zipper ride, but I was too scared. Without hesitation, Nan encouraged me, climbed on the ride with me, and we laughed our way through it together. That was Nan—adventurous, fearless, and always making life fun.

When I became a mum, Nan’s kindness continued into the next generation. She lovingly made Jaxon a beautiful blanket and gave him the most amazing rainbow monkey for his first birthday. To this day, he still sleeps with that monkey every single night. It has become one of his most treasured possessions, and every time I see it, I’m reminded of Nan’s love and generosity.

Although life meant we sadly drifted apart over the past few years, as I haven’t been able to travel back to Australia, not a day has changed the impact Nan had on my life. The lessons she taught me, the love she showed me, and the memories we made together will stay with me forever.

I will always be grateful that Nan Bev was part of my life, and I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to call her my Nan.

To all of the Swalwell family, please know that my thoughts are with you today. I hope you find comfort in the wonderful memories you shared with Nan and in knowing how deeply she was loved by everyone whose lives she touched. Thank you for sharing such an incredible woman with me. She made a lasting difference in my life, and I will always cherish the time I was lucky enough to spend with her.

Rest peacefully, Nan. You will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
    Love Ellie and Jaxon

Dear Brett, David and Deb and family. Our sincere condolences and love go out to your family during this difficult time. I had found memories of your mum over the years. Your mum and dad and you were like a second family to me. Spent many times over at your house chatting with your mum whilst waiting for you to get out of bed and get dressed so we could go out. Times at Lockport were fun and your family made me feel welcome on your holiday. Remember having a nice time in Bali (1986) with you and your mum. We got into a lot of trouble over there; was it the water or alcohol!? Anyway I miss your mum and know it was time for her to go; so I look forward to seeing her again when it’s my time.
Love Mark, Lisa, Madeline & Emily Elliott

Beautiful service for a beautiful lady. Sincere condolences Brett, Dave, Deb and the whole family. So many fond memories of the good times growing up while spending time with your Family. Bev always made me feel welcome even though I used to spend more time at your house than my own when Dave and I were growing up in Seafood. Your kindness touched the hearts of many. RIP Bev
